Fritz

Fritz Wehrenberg, Interim Campus Pastor

Fritz@umnlutheran.org

Pastor Fritz is the Steven Colbert of Lutheran campus ministry here at the U (Fritz would lay claim to a Jon Stewart style if he had better writers and were a bit smarter). As Interim, he is just here for 10 months (that would be until May, 08 – but who is counting). You can put up with anything for two semesters (you’re university students after all) and so can he! Fritz will be asking three questions throughout his time here (like a CD that keeps repeating itself): What is God doing in our world here at the U: What does God want done? How are we sent to partner in this activity? He remains fascinated by the stories which shape our faith and ground our expression; he is looking forward to hearing yours. Stop by the Green House or call 515-450-8769 (Fritz cell). Fritz's reflections are posted weekly.

Kate

Kate Reuer, Grace Campus Minister

Kate@umnlutheran.org

Kate grew up in South Dakota and has recently settled back in Minneapolis after completing a Master of Divinity degree at Harvard Divinity School. She's worked as a community organizer with Lutheran Social Service, assisted at a refugee camp in Kenya, and been a history teacher at Native Arts High School here in Minneapolis. She loves hiking and backpacking in the great outdoors. Her approach to the Christian life? "Awe, wonder and curiosity." She holds her office hours at Espresso Expose (600 Washington Ave), a coffee shop around the corner from the Green House.

Janell

Janell Draper, Administrative Associate

umlsm@umn.edu

Janell works for both Lutheran Campus Ministry and the University Episcopal Community (which also has office space at the Green House) so she is probably the first person visitors meet at the Green House. She used to be a restaurant cook and is happy to do the cooking for Wednesday Prayers and Lunch. She still claims that majoring in Art was an excellent choice, despite the fact that the only job she can get with her degree is this one.

Courtney

Courntey Jones, Lutheran Student Movement Co-chair

jones918@umn.edu

I am a senior in the College of Liberal Arts. I am majoring in Chemistry, but I’m not sure what I will do with my degree after I graduate. I’ve been coming to Lutheran Student Movement since my freshman year, and I’ve been a leader since my sophomore year. I love the people involved in LSM, as well as the activities we participate in. I also work at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center as Head Lifeguard. I am involved in several activities and try to juggle my time as best I can. I am focused, but I like to have fun and enjoy what life has given me!

Katheryn

Katheryn Hope, Lutheran Student Movement Co-chair

hopex028@umn.edu

Katheryn Hope is a junior Civil Engineering Major. She is from Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Besides LSM she is also passionate about knitting and cooking. Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 15:13.
